This beautiful pyx, made in Italy, is constructed of brass and plated inside and out with 24-karat gold in accordance with church custom and standards. The pyx features the letters IHS, from the Greek abbreviation for Jesus. A cross rests above it and three nails below. Because this pyx is near the size of a ciboria, it is perfect for a priest, deacon or eucharistic minister to carry up to 55 hosts to those in need. The telescope style lid is completely removable, but held secure by an extruded rim that provides a secure closure when the lid is replaced. The pyx measures three inches in diameter and 5/8 inches deep.
