I've always loved this fragrance of incense. It's sweet and rich, makes a very nice cloud, and doesn't choke. You need to use a couple of charcoals to really have a good hot base to burn this incense.

I grew up in a parish in which Nativity Brand "French" incense was used with some regularity. I'm so happy to find it available here, and shipped so quickly! This "French" incense differs from the Will & Baumer brand, in that it is entirely gum based, without any wood shavings. Its fragrance is just as I remembered it as a boy, and I love to use it for solemn liturgical occasions. I am mildly disappointed that it now comes in a vacuum sealed bag rather than the more elegant looking dark red box, but the incense does stay fresh for longer. A word to the wise Thurifer: use at least two coals in your Thurible (censer) so that the incense burns down cleanly. Too "cool" a fire and the incense can become acrid.
