Exquisite in its style and execution, this chalice, from Molina of Spain, has a Gothic design carried throughout. The cup and base are lightly embossed. The base features engraved medallions depicting the Four Evangelists, the Crucifixion and the Blessed Mother. The medallions are finished with a silver plate that contrasts beautifully on the gold-plated background. Delicate cord decorations encircle each medallion and are matched on the node and stem.
The Latin inscription reads: "Calicem Salutaris Accipiam et Nomen Domini Invocabo". It translates to: "I will take the saving cup and call on the name of the Lord".
This lovely chalice stands 8-3/4 inches high and the diameter of the cup is 4-7/8 inches. The liquid capacity is fourteen ounces. The F.C. Ziegler Company makes this chalice available to you with a sterling silver inner cup or an all sterling silver chalice. Please make your choice of material using the drop-down menu below.
