This pyx is made from brass, and in keeping with the guidelines of the Catholic Church, has been gold-plated to ensure that the Blessed Sacrament touches only precious, natural materials. The lid has a red enamel cross and is surrounded by fish, bread, grapes and wheat, rendered on a brushed background.
