The chalice is uniquely designed, utilizing a heptagonal shape to feature the fourteen images of the Stations of the Cross on its outer cup and base. Each image is formed on a slightly oxidized, silver-plated medallion, contrasting beautifully with the rest of the chalice, which is gold-plated and given spectacular, Gothic ornamentation throughout.
The Stations of the Cross chalice stands 9-5/8 inches high and the inner cup measures 4-1/16 inches in diameter. The liquid capacity is fourteen ounces. You may order this chalice from the F.C. Ziegler Company with a sterling silver inner cup or all sterling silver. The chalice is finished with twenty-four karat gold plate.
This chalice is accompanied by a scale paten measuring 6-1/4 inches. The paten is outfitted with a ring so that when it is placed over the chalice it does not slide.
