This chalice, from the Artistic Silver Maestro Collection, is intended for use as the main chalice when the Mass is concelebrated. It is modeled after the cup used for the wedding of Duke Tassilo III of Bavaria in the eighth century. The inscription encircling the base, the only variance in design from the original chalice, reads, "Per Ipsum Cum Ipso In Ipso", Latin for, "Through Him, With Him, In Him".
The chalice features stylized figures on the base and cup, representing The Blessed Mother, Saint Paul of Tarsus, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Theodore, The Pantocrater and the Four Evangelists along with their symbols. The node of this chalice is studded with thirty-two genuine garnets and accented with a beaded ring at the base of the cup. The chalice is finished in two-tone silver and gold plate and the cup is lined with twenty-four karat gold. If you wish, you may request a sterling silver inner cup or an all sterling silver chalice.
