The Tassilo chalice is a reproduction of the chalice belonging to Duke Tassilo III of Bavaria. The only modification to the original lies in the wording of the inscription. Originally bearing words appropriate to the Duke's wedding, the designers of the Maestro collection, from Artistic Silver, have modified it to now read "Per Ipsum Cum Ipso In Ipso" meaning, "Through Him, With Him, In Him", making this chalice beautifully fitting for the celebration of the Eucharist in the Catholic Church. The figures on the base represent the Blessed Mother, Saint Paul of Tarsus, Saint John the Baptist and Saint Theodore. On the cup, the Pantocrator and the Four Evangelists are represented.
This gorgeous chalice measures 7-1/2 inches high. The cup measures 4-1/2 inches in diameter and holds eighteen ounces. The paten measures 6-1/2 inches in diameter. This chalice is also available with a sterling silver inner cup or constructed from all sterling silver. Please make sure to indicate your selection using the drop-down menu below.
