Inspired by the chalice used at the wedding of Duke Tassilo III of Bavaria in the eighth century, this chalice and paten set comes to you from the artisans of Molina in Spain. This chalice is made from solid sterling silver and features a twenty-four karat gold lined cup. Fire enameled cloissoné is expertly utilized to render images of The Pantocrator, The Blessed Mother, Saint Paul of Tarsus, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Theodore and the Four Evangelists with their symbols. The inscription encircling the base reads, "Per Ipsum, Cum Ipso, In Ipso", which translates to "Through Him, With Him, In Him.
This chalice stands eight inches high with a cup diameter of 4-1/2 inches. It will hold up to twenty ounces. The accompanying dish paten measures 6-1/2 inches in diameter.
